Learning to drive can for some be exciting but for others quite daunting. At U Drive our driving instructors pride themselves on their ability to assess the level of confidence of each new driver so that the initial lesson is an enjoyable experience free from unnecessary stress and anxiety. Below is some information on what you are required to bring on your first lesson to help minimise some of that stress and worry.
What to bring on your first lesson?.....
Money! Please ask your instructor how except payment most except, cash, cheque, banks transfer and card payments.
Before you start your driving lessons, your driving instructor will need to see your provisional driving licence photo card and your driving licence summary.

What is my driving licence summary?
This is a summary of your driving license record, for example vehicles you can drive and any penalty points or disqualifications. You need to print this off so you’re driving instructor can see there is no reason you cannot take driving lessons. If this is not produced on your first lesson, your instructor could refuse to take you out and you could still be charged.
How do I share my driving licence summary?
You need to go onto the government website, we have provided a link below. Once on the website follow the instructors and enter the details required. Your driving licence summery will then be provided you NEED to Click on:
'GET YOUR CHECK CODE'
Then choose to either print or save this summery, then bring this as a digital or printed format for your first driving lesson.
