I have been an ADI instructor since 2004 after graduating from Lincoln University with a Criminology Degree. My Criminology Degree was intended to be my stepping stone towards becoming a Traffic Police Officer as Driving has always been my passion. I quickly found that I could fulfil this passion by becoming a Driving instructor and passing on my passion to others wanting to learn to drive. As you may appreciate I already had a substantial student debt leaving the university but decided to invested a further £3’500 to become an ADI instructor. I passed all three Driving disciplines first time and was informed by my driving school that I had obtained the second highest test score on record. Well sometimes you have to blow your own trumpet!!
I love the job and take great pride in doing the best for you, the pupil. As previously stated I passed my instructor exams first time but now have obtained Grade 5, which is nearly the best Grade for a driving Instructor
Personal interests, I have a very supportive wife & beautiful daughter born in 2007. I have played hockey since my Lincoln University Days and have captained my local team, for the past 3 years. I am also a level one Umpire which is physically very demanding but helps keep me fit after sitting in a car day after day!. My Next major challenge is expanding my business but maintaining the quality standards that I have set my self. My ambition is to be recognised as the most professional Driving Centre in Lincolnshire for both my Instructors and their students. It is my ambition for my Instructors to be as proud of our teaching skills and pass results as I am.
I have been working for U Drive MSM since March 2008; I decided to join U Drive as Glyn was an inspiration to me having a young fresh, dedicated approach compared to other schools had approached in Lincoln. I also graduated from University of Lincoln with a Marketing Degree and quickly obtained my first office based job. After a while I felt I needed a new challenge with, with, more money, as we all do!! So I became an ADI instructor and joined U Drive.
I find the job very rewarding meeting lots of new people and making new friends. U Drive has the professional approach of putting the needs of the driving students first which is a refreshing attitude compared to other Driving Schools that just want to take the money.
Other Interest, I like travelling and socialising with my mates. Anyone that has owned a Mini as there first car will never forget how brilliant Mini's are. I am so lucky that I get to work in my Mini every day. You may think this would dull the 'Mini' experience but Oh no I have joined The Lincoln Mini Club which is great to share our joint interest in this brilliant Car and expand my circle of friends.
