How realistic will my earnings be as an ADI accredited diving instructor. Here is a realistic breakdown.
U Drive lesson rate £22.50
Number of working hours per week 35 (you can do more if you want)
Number of working weeks per year 47 (5 weeks holiday, inc. Bank Holidays)
Total Earnings = £37,012.50
Now deduct:-
- Franchise Fee £3,234 Inc Vat
- Diesel £4,000
- Car - monthly re-payments for new Mini Cooper or similar £4,500
- Accountant Fee’s (Keep the Inland Revenue Happy!) £350
- Other incidental out of pocket expenditure. £1000
Total outlay approximately £13,084
Total earnings £23,928.50 per year, but some business expenses are Tax deductible So there is an added bonus in tax benefits, such as a new car every three years, work related laptop computer and any other legitimate business expenses that can be claimed against your Franchise turnover.
