U Drive has received a major update from the DVSA this evening regarding driving lessons and practical driving tests

As you may expect, the main priority is the safety of the instructors, pupils, and examiners. Driving lessons and tests will only restart when the government is confident that the infection risk is low enough, subject to the 5 safety tests and further detailed scientific advice.

Driving Tests

If you had a driving test cancelled and rescheduled due to Covid 19 this means the test will no longer go ahead on the rescheduled date.

The DVSA will ask these people in the backlog to go online and choose a preferred date and time. The DVSA will invite batches of people to do this based on when their original test should have taken place.

Driving Lessons

At U Drive we are now awaiting the green light to be able to teach again as this could happen at anytime.

If you are wanting driving lessons, we strongly advise you to ring/email U Drive as soon as possible so that we can add you to the call back list. Fingers crossed we shouldn’t be waiting too long to get started again.

Call backs will be made in the same order as incoming enquiries, so it is important you enquire sooner rather than later.
